Richard A. Lammers, 55, of Salem, passed away at 9:44 a. m. on October 22, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was born on January 22, 1945, in Clay County, IL, the son of John Lammers and Charlotte (Cox) Lammers.
Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Monical; two sons, Richard A. Lammers, Jr. and James Lammers both of Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Cindy Green and Amber Green both of Salem; two brothers, Mike Bartley and wife Lisa and Joe Monical, Jr. all of Salem; three sisters, Jerri Hoard and husband J. R. of Salem, Pat Montgomery and husband Jim of Iuka, and Barbara Skabialka and husband Mike of Saudi Arabia; one grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother Leroy Lammers, and stepfather Joe Monical, Sr.
Richard was a member of the the Salem Elks 1678, American Legion Post 128, and the Moose Lodge 361. He served with the U. S. Marines in Vietnam, and was employed as a groundskeeper for the Salem Country Club.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. on October 26, 2000, at the Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. Special military rites were conducted by the Salem American Legion Post 128 at the burial site at Parker Cemetery in Clay County, IL. The Reverend Ron Slover officiated during the services. At Lammers' request, his body was cremated.
Memorials to the Marion County Cancer Fund were accepted at the funeral home.

Nancy was born May 12, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. She received an Associate of Science Degree for Nursing from Anderson College in June 1975. Nancy was an RN at Welborn Hospital from 1975 to 1981. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Southern Indiana in May 1997. Nancy attended Bethel Temple for 18 years with her family and was active in mission work and choir. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church and was active in their 2:42 Small Group Ministry and the Women to Women Mentoring Program. Nancy was also active in Bible Study Fellowship for the past 5 ½ years and enjoyed the Christian fellowship provided in the Ladies Bible Study. Nancy also started a home business for women, The Victorian Tea Merchant, where she hosted events for women to have time to share and visit. Nancy had a heart for reaching out to people and was also active in helping the homeless. She was a very energetic person who liked hiking and traveling. Nancy was full of life, and family was extremely important to her. She enjoyed wonderful times with her daughters and recent additions to her life, grandchildren, Savannah and Grant. Her greatest joy was doing for others. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Roland Lehnus of Evansville, Ind.; daughter, Jaime Byrnes and her husband Jason; and grandchildren, Savannah and Grant, all of Brentwood, Tenn.; daughter, Rachel Lehnus of St. Augustine, Fla.; parents, James and Nita Noble of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; brother, Jim Noble and wife Kathi of Lady Lake, Fla.; sisters, Bonnie Hutson and husband Paul of Little Rock, Ark., Anne Johnson and husband Bob of Amarillo, Texas and Amy Zehring and husband Dan of Gilbert, Ariz. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Lincoln Avenue, Newburgh, Indiana with Pastor Ken Idleman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN and again from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the church. Dorothy Littrell, 40, of Salem died Wednesday, June 20, 1990, at her home in rural Salem. Mrs. Littrell was born in Centralia, on December 1, 1949, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wilson. She marrried Ronald Littrell. She was survived by her husband Ronald; father and step-mother Jimmy and Arlene Wilson; a brother Mike Wislon of St. Louis, Mo.; and four sisters, Kathrine Melvin of Cornell, Eldora Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sarah Wilson and Sandy Wilson, both of Pontiac, Ill. She was a member of Salem First Baptist Church and was employed by Magazine Mailers in Salem. Private funeral services were held Friday at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
